Kona Red Bourbon Anaerobic Washed
Summary
Kona Red Bourbon Anaerobic Washed coffee from Kona Rainforest farm in South Kona, Hawaii, USA. Grown at 1600-2000ft elevation along the slopes of Mauna Loa. The coffee is made from the Red Bourbon variety and processed using an anaerobic washed method with organic certified yeasts, developed in collaboration with Miguel in 2023. Tasting notes include soft floral and pear aromatics, a sweet sake-like cup with hints of citrus, rounded mouthfeel, and a complex finish. The farm is the largest certified organic coffee farm in Hawaii and spans 40 acres. This coffee placed 3rd in the 2023 Kona Coffee Festival cupping competition, the highest-ranked non-Geisha variety and highest-scoring washed coffee in the competition.
