Hawaii Puna - Arakawa Estate Lactic Natural
Summary
A specialty coffee from Arakawa Estate, a small farm in Kurtistown, Puna, Hawaii (USA), owned by Edna Arakawa and Jim Chestnut. Grown at 700ft elevation from Caturra and Typica coffee trees. Processed using a Lactic Natural method where cherries are inoculated with lactic acid producing organisms in a low oxygen environment, then dried on screens in a dehumidified room. Tasting notes include rose, cinnamon, fig, honeyed sweetness, buoyant acidity, and a lingering aftertaste of berries and flowers.
