Hawai‘i Ka‘ū Champagne Natural Half-caf
Summary
This half-caffeinated coffee from Hawaii's Ka'u district is sourced from Miranda Farms and JN Farms at 1600-2200ft (488-671m) altitude. Grown from Typica, Red Bourbon, and Red Catuai varieties, it undergoes a Champagne Natural process where whole coffee cherries are fermented with wine yeast strains, then dried with dehumidified drying equipment. The coffee is half-decaffeinated using pressurized CO2 by Kona Decaf. Flavor notes include strawberry, plum, guava, and milk chocolate with tropical and floral aromas.
