Uganda Bugisu
Summary
Uganda Bugisu is a ground espresso from the Bugisu region in eastern Uganda, grown on the volcanic slopes of Mount Elgon at altitudes between 1250 and 1900 meters. The coffee is cultivated by the Bagisu people, who grow the Typica, SL-14, and SL-28 varieties. As an espresso, it presents a powerful and well-structured character with dominant dark chocolate aromas, followed by warm clove for spicy elegance, and a distinctive orange croquant note that combines citrus, chocolate, and hazelnut. The body is full and velvety, with a long, inviting finish that opens up nicely with a splash of milk.
