Peru Pichanaki Shb Fairtrade
Summary
A full-flavoured Peruvian coffee from Pichanaki in the Junín region, grown between 1,100 and 1,700 metres above sea level. Varieties include Catuai, Catimor and Caturra, cultivated under natural shade. The ripe cherries are selectively hand-picked, then pulped, floated and fermented for 16 to 20 hours before being dried naturally on patios. The cup is balanced with sweet caramel notes, a gently nutty character and delicate stone fruit acidity. Graded SHB EP (Strictly Hard Bean Extra Prime).
