Peru Chanchamayo Bio + Fairtrade
Summary
A solid, nutty coffee from the Chanchamayo Valley in Peru, grown by smallholder farmers of the Aproselva cooperative at altitudes above 1300 meters. This organic and Fairtrade certified Arabica features varieties Caturra, Typica, Pache, and Bourbon. Washed processed, it offers a dense aroma of dark chocolate and fresh cigar tobacco, with a palate of cocoa, heavy red wine, and salted caramel, leading to a long, dense finish. Suitable for both espresso and filter brewing, it presents a classic, dry, and strong character reminiscent of fine gingerbread.
