Summary
A decaffeinated single origin coffee from La Plata, Huila, Colombia. Produced by 7 smallholder farmers including Gina Samara Jalvin, Gloria Isabel Garcia, Ivonne Andrea Oviedo and Laura Ramirez. Grown at 1,750 to 2,000 metres, the lot comprises Caturra, Castillo and Variedad Colombia varieties. Cherries are hand-picked, traditionally depulped, dry fermented, fully washed and then decaffeinated using the Sugar Cane Ethyl Acetate (E.A.) process at Descafecol. The cup profile offers sweet notes of currants and prunes with dark chocolate and roasted almonds. Roasted for all brew methods including both espresso and filter.
